Literary Agents
My new favorite way to learn about what literary agents want and how they want it (mind out of gutter, people) is to follow great ones on Twitter. If you don’t already have an account on Twitter.com, get one. Here are some agents I follow on Twitter:
- Jennifer Wilkov (@litmatchmaker)
- Kristin Miller (@agentkristin)
- Steven Malk (@stevenmalk)
- Jacquie Flynn (@bookjacquie)
eBook Conversion, Publishing & Distribution
- PublishGreen.com (Owned by my company, but it’s hands down the best ebook conversion / publisher / distributor out there).
- Smashwords
Self-Publishing Resources
- Go-Publish-Yourself.com (Free to join. Members get exclusive content and discounts on self-publishing services from the site’s partners).
- WritersWrite.com
- http://mickrooney.blogspot.com/ (good blog about self-publishing).
Copyright Registration
- Copyright.gov (this is the U.S. Copyright Office website and you can file online for $35).
- Click&Copyright (this is a private filing service, but they do all the work for you, for as little as $79, and that includes the filing fee).
Book Reviwers
You don’t have to be part of publishing royalty to get your books reviewed by either of these great sites:
